The FOS dinner is scheduled for Monday, February 21^st at 6:30 p.m.  It will be pot luck.  We’d like to get a sign up list for dishes so that we know we have a variety and have everything covered.  Please email me by Tuesday, Feb 15^th and let me know how many people you expect to attend with you and what you would like to bring.  We need to know which adult Crew members plan to attend as well. Andrew will be putting together a slide show, we’ll have a speaker and at our Monday meeting the crew decided they would like to play games after the dinner.

We are booked for Westview March 11^th -13^th.   We need to know ASAP who is definitely planning to attend (adults and youth).  You can email, text or call me to let me know.      

It was discussed at our Monday meeting that since our main challenge this year is recruitment that it may be most beneficial for the crew to request funds to support our recruitment efforts this year.  We’d like crew members to give this some thought and let me know by the dinner on the 21^stwhether you agree or if you have another idea for what we might request funds for.

Alex and Sarah are making plans to contact Boy Scout troops in the area that are not associated with a Venture Crew to schedule an opportunity to talk to the troops about joining the crew.  They are also planning to contact Ambassador Girl Scout Troops and will be looking into posting information at J Sargent Reynolds.  Another recruitment event that they would like to do is to use a meeting night for a Disk Golf Tournament and possible have a cookout to go with it.    Looking at our calendar – our May 2^nd meeting might be a good day for this.
